Class Info
Hello! There’s a lot to read here! Sorry not sorry. Please make sure you check at the bottom that you got through it. There will be a quiz. No, jeez, that would be terrible. If you would like to chat about anything you can email me at:

what are we doing?
We are going to be making a small abstract stained glass piece out of pre cut/shaped pieces of glass (there are photos on my IG of previous students if you want to see what others have made). This class is a fun short form introduction to the tools and process, with more in depth class offerings (and other short fun ones) on the way if you catch the glass bug.
My studio is located in the Panama Pottery complex at 4421 24th St, in the courtyard. The entrance is on the right side of the small parking lot (directly across from the fire station). Our mini lot fills up quickly, but there is usually plenty of street parking. There's non-metered street parking all along our side of the street. You can also park in the neighborhood across the street, but there is not a crosswalk so be careful crossing. There isn't a ton of traffic on 24th but some people go way too fast. Be careful!
Where do I go?
I’m a big nerd for safety.
Everyone must wear close toed shoes. We will be working with potentially sharp glass, hot soldering irons, and metals that contain lead (more below). Safety is the absolute highest priority, and safe practices will be addressed at each step of the process. If you have any questions or concerns before class send them my way!
The solder used in stained glass contains lead. I have worked in stained glass full time for over a decade, so lead safety is extremely important to me! It is very easy to work responsibly with lead, and we will cover it in depth before any soldering is done. I have had pregnant people in class before - please reach out before hand if you would like to talk about the process. There are many solutions to accommodating whatever you feel comfortable with.
